With 47 radiopharmacies and distribution centres across the world, we’re the largest operator of PET pharmacies.The purpose of the role is the maintenance of the Siemens Healthineers Cyclotron, Chemistry Modules and isolator. The role will be based at the Nottingham PETNET facility, taking part in maintenance and call outs as part of the cyclotron team to provide radioisotopes for PET radiopharmaceutical production. As well as Nottingham, the role may require that occasional maintenance or training is carried out at other UK facilities and facilities within Europe.Your tasks and responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to Cyclotron Preventative Maintenance, Radiation Compliance, Health and Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and licensing requirements. * Troubleshooting & Maintenance:Diagnose and resolve cyclotron production failures to minimize downtime and maximize product delivery. Conduct plant room checks, supervise maintenance activities, and maintain critical spare parts inventories. * Process Improvement:Propose and implement system upgrades and corrective actions to improve yield and reliability, ensuring operational excellence. * Documentation & Reporting:Review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), respond to audits and inspections, and collate/report KPI data to the Site Manager. * On-Call Support & Cross-Site Collaboration:Provide on-call support for cyclotron issues and assist in maintenance activities at other PETNET sites across the UK when required, ensuring alignment of processes and backup capabilities. * Training & Development:Train staff in cyclotron operations and chemistry module maintenance, while maintaining continuous professional development to stay updated on current legislation and technological advancements in PET radioisotope production. * Specialized Tasks:Gain working knowledge of isolator systems for first-line maintenance and troubleshooting, assist with radiation and EHS tasks, and contribute to the overall safety and efficiency of operations.To find out more about the specific business, have a look at https://www.siemens-healthineers.com/en-uk/molecular-imaging/petnetYour qualifications and experience:Qualifications:
Degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in particle accelerator maintenance.Core Skills:
