This position is one of two full-time Custodian posts in the faculty and is part of a team who share a weekly rota to cover the building’s opening hours, which are currently 6:30am – 8:00pm during the week (6.00pm on Fridays). You will be required to alternate between morning shifts one week, to evening shifts the following week.The Benefits

• Manage portering tasks
• Conduct security duties
• Ensure teaching and meeting rooms are prepared
• Carry out routine cleaning tasks
• Supervise and liaise with cleaning staff, ensuring high standards are maintained
• Assist with fire safety tests
• Replenish and maintain stock of consumables

About YouTo be considered as a Custodian, you will need:

• Practical experience of cleaning or custodial duties
• Basic factual knowledge of custodial work, including DIY and general maintenance
• An awareness of health and safety and fire issues
• GCSEs, an NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualifications or an equivalent level of practical experience
