With a reputation for thoughtful, client-centric work and a high rate of repeat commissions, the company fosters exceptional relationships with partners and clients.ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Business Development Manager / Networker, you’ll be pivotal in growing the company’s client base and reinforcing its presence throughout the South. Your mission:
- Identify, engage, and nurture relationships with new prospects-especially landlords, property developers, workplaces, and corporate clients seeking transformations or fit-out services.
- Present tailored design & build solutions, conveying how they can enhance brand identity, employee wellbeing, functionality, and long-term value.
- Collaborate with internal teams (design consultants, project managers, workplace strategists) to ensure alignment from pitch through delivery.
- Maintain a robust pipeline-from initial contact, through proposal, to conversion.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings across the region.
This position offers high flexibility-work primarily from home, with occasional visits to the Reading office as needed for meetings and collaboration.REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in business development or client relationship roles, ideally within office fit-out, interior design, workplace consultancy, or professional services.
- Strong network across commercial property, landlord relations, or workspace decision-makers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to convey complex design and build value propositions intuitively.
- Comfortable managing the full sales cycle-from prospecting and meetings through to closed deals.
- Self-starter with strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while staying aligned with the broader team.
- Based in or near Reading, with the flexibility to attend the office occasionally and meet clients in the region.
