The appointee will help develop our UK undergraduate degree apprenticeship programmes in the area of Accounting and Finance and provide general service to the University within and across faculties. In the first instance, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of the university’s online BSc (Hons) Applied Accounting and Finance degree apprenticeship (Level 6 Accounting Finance Manager).We wish to appoint a specialist in corporate reporting and taxation with the ability to deliver a wider range of courses in Accounting and Finance. Preference may be given to candidates with experience of English apprenticeships, working with professional bodies, e.g., IFA, CIMA, ICAEW and ACCA. Priority will be given to Northeastern University London faculty nearing the end of fixed term contracts.Core duties will include the development and teaching of cutting-edge courses in Accounting and Finance both online and on campus, assessment and moderation, student support, peer review, etc. Indicative subject areas may include (but are not limited to) corporate reporting, personal and business taxation and audit and assurance.We particularly encourage applications from those with an interest in innovative teaching, learning and assessment; those with experience of supporting a wide variety of students; and those belonging to groups underrepresented in UK higher education. • PhD completed, or equivalent professional accounting qualification, in Accounting and Finance
• FHEA status, or equivalent, achieved or expected.

• Willingness and capacity to undertake continuous professional development in relation to institutionally strategic themes, including but not limited to technology, data, sustainability, and ethics.
• Ability to develop excellent educational provision in areas with significant appeal to students, including at postgraduate level, and with a focus on experiential learning.
• Flexibility and capacity to teach across a wide range of courses, where appropriate in collaboration with specialists from other disciplines
• Teaching competency in Accounting and Finance to Levels 4-6 (i.e., all undergraduate levels)
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills, both face-to-face and online
• Excellent IT skills and evidence of supporting the integration of technologies into learning and teaching.
• Excellent time-management and organisational skills
