Position SummaryThe Carlyle Group seeks to hire an Analyst within the Carlyle Europe Technology Partners team in London. Analysts are key members of the investment team and work directly with other investment professionals in a country team setting. From day one, this individual will contribute to the full set of deal-making activities including deal origination, deal execution and portfolio management activities (more detail on the responsibilities below).The individual will support CETP’s investment activities in German speaking Europe (DACH)and work closely with the regions team (a team of 5 individuals of varying levels, from Analyst to Managing Director).ResponsibilitiesThe Analyst’s role spans the entire investment and portfolio monitoring process, including:
- Deal origination and market screening: execute deal sourcing, company research and pipeline building activities for the DACH team.
- Due diligence: conduct primary research activities, execute key financial analyses and contribute to due diligence activities across all relevant areas (financial, commercial, technology, legal, tax, etc.)
- Deal execution: prepare and support drafting of investment memos and setting up the financial model.
- Portfolio monitoring: assist in overseeing portfolio company performance, support the deal team and portfolio management on value creation initiatives.
QualificationsEducation, Certificates & Experience
- Strong academic record from a leading university; Masters degree is preferred but not required.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a relevant field e/g consulting, investment banking or private equity.
- Native fluency in English and German is a requirement in this role (fluency in additional European languages is preferred, but not required).
