Do you have what it takes to be the Wellbeing Assistant in our care home?The HomeBraefield Court is located in the idyllic village of Connor; it is a newly built facility which opened its doors in November 2022. The service consists of 7 bedrooms, it has really been built with our residents at the heart of it, and specifically tailored to meet the needs of adults living with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Complex Needs. Our residents have the opportunity to access local areas for horse riding, cycling, cinema, eateries, all with staff support 24 hours per day. Braefield Court’s team won the Innovative Practice Award at the Independent Health and Care Providers Awards, which was not only a triumph for the team, but an underpinning of how initiative and commitment within the team and to our residents has made an incredible difference to people’s lives.The RoleAt Healthcare Ireland we are committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing engaging activities and wellbeing initiatives that promote physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. The role of Activity Co-Ordinator works closely with the Activity Lead on providing a schedule of engaging pursuits that create a supportive environment where residents can thrive.The Activity Co-Ordinator will contribute to the planning, organising and facilitation of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents in our Homes. The Activity Co-Ordinator will work closely with the care team, families, resident and external partners to develop and implement a wide range of activities that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents.About the roleMain ResponsibilitiesAssist the Activity Lead in preparing, planning and delivering group and individual recreational and occupational activities, observing, recording and reporting resident response.Engage with residents in one-on-one or group activities, such as games, crafts, music, exercise, outings and social events based on their interest and preferences.Assist with the setting up and organising of activity areas, including gathering supplies, arranging furniture and displaying materials.Ensure the effective, timely and accurate updating of records, case files and computerised information systems.Stay informed about best practices and trends in wellbeing and activities for residents.Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager or Lead.BenefitsPaid annual leaveThe chance to be part of a growing healthcare company4 weekly payContinuous professional development and trainingValues-led cultureOvertime available at an enhanced rateOpportunities for progressionPension plan (if applicable)Attractive hourly rateAccess NINISCC reimbursed after qualifying periodUniforms and PPE suppliedMonthly incentives and recognition awardsFree parkingWe do not offer sponsorship for this role .Healthcare Ireland are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons.About the companyHealthcare Ireland provides care services in an environment where individuality is emphasised and the privacy and dignity of all our residents is recognised.
