About the roleAre you hands-on, reliable, and looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?Join DS Smith Ely as a Night Shift Assembly Operative, where you’ll play a vital role in creating sustainable packaging solutions for some of the UK’s leading brands.As part of our production team, you’ll be responsible for assembling, finishing, and checking packaging products to the highest standards, ready for dispatch to our customers. We’re looking for team players who thrive on accuracy, care about quality, and enjoy working to targets.Key Responsibilities will include:
- Assemble packaging products accurately and efficiently to meet daily production targets
- Carry out visual quality checks to ensure finished goods meet our high standards
- Follow health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area
- Support your team and supervisor in keeping production running smoothly
- Use machinery and tools safely, after training is provided
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Great attention to detail
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Physically fit and able to be on your feet throughout the shift
- Reliable and committed to working night shifts consistently
