We’re all about bright futures – for our people and those who wear our contact lenses.Job summary – What to expect:As the Inventory Operator of our Inventory Team, you will carry out tasks, under direction, within the inventory department. These tasks include (but are not limited to) receiving, putting away, and replenishing stock and cycle counting.On a day-to-day basis, you will be

• Undertaking basic tasks, under direction of the Team Leader. This could include Picking, Packstation Scanning, Pre-Sort, Machine Over labelling, fitting set production, receiving, put away, replenishment, assist re-work and cycle counting.
• Complying with health and safety regulations including the safe use of equipment (i.e. machinery, lift truck, manual handling equipment) and general good housekeeping to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Working with systems in the Inventory Department
• Suggesting continuous improvement ideas
• Some investigation and resolving of issues

• Experience in a large open plan warehouse or factory
• Knowledge of proper manual handling techniques
• Ability to lift products and transport throughout the building on movable, but heavy, cages
• Good standard of spoken English and Maths
• Team player

Work Environment

• Large open plan warehouse
• PPE must be worn at all times
• Lifting up to approx. 25kg
• Working at heights will be required
• Constant background noise from operating machinery
• Fluctuating temperatures with the seasons
• Periods of long standing
