An excellent opportunity has arisen for a farm agent to join our Exeter team.Reporting directly to the Head of South West Rural Agency, this is an exciting and rewarding role for someone who wants to be part of the leading Rural Agency team in the South West, selling farms and estates throughout the region. This role is based in our multidisciplined busy Exeter office, but provides the opportunity to travel and visit properties across the South West.This role will involve selling and buying farms and estates at all levels from small holdings to large estates. It will involve all aspects of farm agency including pitching, preparing pitch reports and particulars, marketing, collecting information, undertaking viewings, closing deals, using internal IT systems and matching buyers to properties.As well as the above, your focus will be in the following areas:
- Providing detailed knowledge of local property sales
- Preparing and writing brochures and organising information packs
- Negotiating and dealing with buyers and sellers
- Organising and agreeing marketing campaigns in conjunction with the marketing team
- Liaising with other professionals including lawyers and accountants
- Confident with using CRM (Reapit) system to create business
- Demonstrates an ability to match people with property, resulting in successful transactions
- Demonstrates the ability to identify prospective clients and initiate engagement
- Uses strong questioning and listening techniques to understand a client’s position and specific needs in order to create the opportunity to promote Savills additional services
- Raise personal and team profile in the South West region
- Basic knowledge of the following:
- Farming Taxation.
- Banking.
- The Agricultural Holdings Act and other relevant legislation.
Team overviewThe South West Rural Agency team is part of the larger Rural Agency department in the South of England being a team of 10 in total who work out of our offices in Exeter, Salisbury, Winchester and Sevenoaks.The wider Rural division operates across the UK, with a network of 37 offices and a number of estate offices from Inverness in the North to Truro in the South-West.Career progression can mean different things to different people at various stages of their careers.
