​Role: Business Development ManagerSalary: £60-70K + 1% on contract profit revenue; Financial target: 500k contract charge sales and 50k one offsJob Status: PermanentLocation: London – Hybrid – 1 or 2 meetings per week at the London Hub. Candidate should attend network events, new client meetingsVacancy Reference: VR/05310Role Description:Our client is a well-established Company within the Facilities Management industry. They are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to source new and organic business growth. As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing Client relationships and lead generation to deliver new business growth across commercial offices.This is a hybrid role, where you will be expected to attend 1 or 2 meetings per week at the Hub in London and attend any networking events and client meetings as required.Key Responsibilities:Identify, pursue, and secure new cleaning contracts with clientsDevelop a robust sales pipeline and convert prospects into long-term contractsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (facilities managers, procurement heads, operations directors, etc.)Leverage your network and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders and build trust in services.Support with contract bids, proposals, and tender submissionsConduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities and stay ahead of industry trendsProvide insights and feedback to the leadership team to refine offerings and strategyWork closely with internal teams (operations, service delivery, compliance) to ensure seamless onboarding and exceptional service delivery for new clientsCoordinate with these teams to meet client expectations from the start of the contract.Key Requirements:Understanding of the FM sectorUnderstanding of CRM databases (this company uses Monday.com)Successful record of delivering new business growthMust be driven, confident, tenacious and determinedStrong influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levelsStrong organisational skillsExcellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills, with an exceptional attention to detailA proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets is essentialExceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAbility to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and decision-makers, crafting compelling proposals and pitching solutions effectivelyA proactive, results-driven attitude with the ability to work independently to drive salesTenacious and resilient in managing longer sales cycles.
