As a driver of innovation, TU Wien fosters close collaboration with business and industry and contributes to the prosperity of society.In the Service Unit of High Performance Computing TU Wien is offering a position as Systemarchitekt_in Science Cloud Plattform limited to expected 3 years for 40 hours/week (parttime possible from 30 hours/week). Expected start: April 2025.Tasks:
- Planning and optimization of platforms (Openstack, Kubernetes, Proxmox)
- Planning and optimization of our storage technology (Ceph, NFS, …)
- Further development of DevOps approaches in the Campus IT Datalab (Ansible, Python, Netbox, Gitlab CI/CD, ArgoCD)
- Planning and optimization of server operation (e.g. monitoring, backup)
- Planning and integrating services into a common service platform
- Ongoing training in the area of platform as a service and willingness to experimentally develop new solutions
- Support and cooperation with researchers and teachers at TU Wien
Your profile:
- Academic education in the field of computer science or equivalent professional experience
- Very good knowledge and experience in the areas of Platform as a Service (e.g. Openstack, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Proxmox), virtualization, storage technology (Ceph, NFS, NVMe-oF) and network technologies
- Project management skills are an advantage
- Very good knowledge of English
- Analytical problem-solving skills Ability to innovate
- Willingness to learn
- Accuracy in implementation and documentation
- Very good communication skills
- High level of teamwork skills
