We currently have a vacancy for a Power BI Specialist fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Austria. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.Your tasks

• Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI reports and dashboards;
• Write, analyze and optimize SQL queries, including creating views and functions for performance efficiency;
• Implement best practices in data modelling and database design to enhance reporting efficiency;
• Migrate and optimize reports from Tableau to Power BI, ensuring accuracy and efficiency;
• Utilize DAX to manipulate and prepare data for visualizations, particularly geospatial analysis and maps.

Requirements

• University degree in in Software Engineering or related subject combined with relevant IT professional experience of 10 years;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design, development, and deployment of Power BI Reports;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in querying RDBMS databases including creation of views and functions;
• Experience in connecting Power BI reports to various data sources such as on-premise SQL Server, Azure cloud database, Google analytics, MS Excel files, SharePoint Lists and APIs;
• Experience of deploying reports for integration on Public Websites and intranet sites;
• Experience in preparing data using DAX in Power BI and other means for use in Visualizations especially Maps;
• In-depth understanding of data modelling and database design;
• Ability to analyze existing Tableau reports with existing data sources and recommend improvements while transitioning to Power BI;
• Ability to write and optimize queries to improve performance efficiency;
• Excellent command of the English language.
