Job description

At Red Sky Personnel, we are seeking a talented IT Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between our airline business units and IT department. Your mission will be to enhance the customer experience by analysing, refining, and delivering IT solutions that meet the operational and strategic needs of the airline.Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and draft comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
• Documentation & Specification: Develop detailed specifications, including test cases, flowcharts, and user-perspective mock-ups for business review and approval.
• Project Management: Create project plans with clear timelines, track progress, and ensure delivery within deadlines.
• Development Collaboration: Partner with developers to clarify requirements, resolve queries, and provide guidance during the development process.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Prepare and execute test cases, report any issues, coordinate fixes, and conduct re-testing to align solutions with business specifications.
• Training & Support: Develop user guides and training materials; deliver training sessions to end-users to ensure successful adoption of new systems.
• Stakeholder Communication: Manage business testing, obtain sign-offs, and communicate updates to all relevant parties prior to production releases.
• Innovation: Keep up to date with industry trends and innovations, recommending solutions to improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Website CMS Updates: Oversee website content management updates where required.
• Reporting & Incident Management: Provide monthly project reports on progress, risks, and budgets. Handle troubleshooting and resolution of incidents or service requests.
• Team Leadership: Lead daily stand-ups, facilitate project meetings, and mentor colleagues to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Skills & ExperienceEssential:

• Strong knowledge of airline Passenger Service Systems (PSS), including Internet Booking Engines (IBE), Departure Control Systems (DCS), and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with airline reservation systems or Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Proven experience in a senior IT role within a small-to-medium-sized airline.
• Solid understanding of passenger airline business models, distribution channels, and operational structures.
• 2-3 years of experience in business analysis or application development.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management practices.
• Experience with business process design and frameworks.

• Experience in website functionality development.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver customer-focused IT solutions.
• Strong self-motivation and keen attention to detail.
• Experience working in decentralised corporate environments.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Professional Requirements

• A university degree or a proven track record in the airline industry.
