Offer DescriptionWe are looking for a person who combines inclusion as a normative approach on the one hand with the psychology of special education (diagnostics and intervention) as an action-oriented approach on the other, and who represents this in teaching and research across the breadth of the discipline. A candidate would be preferred who supplements established research core areas in the fields of social-emotional and linguistic development with expertise in the field of learning/cognition in schools and teaching. For the professorship we are looking for an internationally recognised personality who will assume leadership responsibility at the Research Centre for Inclusive Education (FZIB) and further develop empirical inclusion research at the highest level. Interdisciplinary collaboration and involvement in national and international research networks are expected. Responsibilities include teaching activities on the degree programmes in Educational Sciences, Inclusive Education and on the teacher training programme and the Doctoral School of Educational Science. The further development of the study programmes and the promotion of early-stage researchers are also part of the profile.   • Austrian or equivalent foreign higher education degree corresponding with the position (doctorate/PhD)
  • Habilitation or equivalent qualification in the research field of inclusion
  • Outstanding academic qualifications in research and teaching in the relevant discipline and for the profile of the professorship (commensurate with stage of academic career and interruptions in employment due to caring responsibilities)
  • Success in attracting subject-specific project grants, particularly where competitively awarded third-party funds are concerned
  • Skills in higher education didactics including the use of digital media
  • Skills in the supervision and guidance of early stage researchers
  • Professional experience abroad during academic career
  • Management and leadership experience

Additional InformationBenefitsThe minimum remuneration as stated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement is EUR 89.075,00 gross per year.
