Offer DescriptionThe ‘Innovative Building Materials’ professorship focuses on new types of mineral binders and building materials (based on primary and secondary resources) that promote the goals of climate neutrality, circularity of systems and waste reduction and support the associated transformation in the building materials industry. Montanuniversität Leoben expects these activities to be integrated into joint research projects with other organisational units, particularly in the fields of applied geosciences, mining, tunnelling, mineral processing, process engineering, waste processing technology and metallurgy. The practical relevance of the research activities is essential and the acquisition of third-party funding for research activities is obligatory. The advertised professorship includes the management of the Chair of Ceramics, whereby the existing research areas of refractory building materials and slags are to be continued synergistically.Apart from this core area of research, the entire field of mineral binders and building materials is represented in teaching, currently in particular for students on the Bachelor’s degree programme ‘Mineral Resources Engineering’ and the two Master’s degree programmes ‘Raw Materials Engineering’ and ‘International Master of Science in Building Materials and Ceramics’. In this bracket, the monthly salary stipulated for full-time employment in the collective agreement is € 6.362,50 gross (14 times per year).
