The Integral Building Technology Unit at the Institute of Building and Industrial Construction conducts cutting-edge research at the interface of data science, building, and energy technologies. We offer a position as university assistant (prae-doc) limited to expected 4 years for 30 hours/week.
The successful candidate will work on the development of novel data-driven energy services such as automated fault detection and diagnosis or predictive control. Expected start: December 2024. An extension to a full-time position (40 hours/week) from third-party funds of the Institute is possible and desired.Tasks:
- Conducting research in data-driven energy services
- Writing a dissertation and scientific publications
- Collaboration on teaching tasks as well as examinations
- Participation in scientific events
- Assistance/Collaboration in organizational and administrative tasks
Your profile:
- Completion of a master’s or diploma curriculum in one of these fields: Civil engineering, Computer science, Electrical engineering, Environmental engineering, Mechanical engineering, or Physics.
- Experience or strong interest in the following scientific fields: machine learning, energy, and buildings.
- Excellent skills in English communication and writing.
- Interest in supervision and working with students
