The Position
Combine data analysis with user-focused research to inform design solutions that can be utilised across the company, all products and Therapeutic Areas. The UX Lead will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Boehringer to jointly inform, shape and develop new experiences – being an effective champion of design as a key driver of effective Customer Experience and strategic opportunity across the ASKAN HP Region.
The UX Lead will be responsible for maintaining and evolving the appropriate programme of research to deliver the insights required to augment user and business data, and will also be responsible for monitoring trends and developments in the field of design (e.g. Experience Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Service Design), and sharing perspective on emerging opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities

Shape ASKAN’s strategic approach to User Experience in order to meet business objectives and patient-centric aspirations.

Partner with the business to understand strategic needs and define solutions that transform business requirements into valuable experiences.

Drive delivery of appropriate customer research, identifying opportunities that will add value to both short-term campaigns and long-term strategic customer engagement.

Ensure the ongoing monitoring of the external environment; the industry, the market, the customer, the patient and the technology to ensure Boehringer remains relevant and at the cutting edge of innovation.

Engage with key stakeholders to rapidly explore ideas, identify business and user outcomes to serve as the foundation for engineering meaningful innovations and solutions.

Ensure regular and meaningful analysis of customer data points, channel effectiveness and customer experience metrics to identify areas of interest, potential challenges and signals of success to inform UX activities as well as wider business activities and decision-making.
Requirements

Bachelors Degree in relevant discipline.

Visual design / information architecture/content strategy experience – ideally in a regulated industry.

Excellent knowledge of all aspects of the User Centric Design (UCD) approach and the ability to apply them flexibly across a variety of project types.

Able to use/introduce more advanced UCD techniques (rapid prototyping, remote testing etc.) to improve efficiency in the user experience process and the quality of the solution.

Awareness of Service Design techniques and how these can be applied to digital user experience.

Knowledge of project management in an agile environment

Knowledge of Data interpretation and insight analysis

Proven leadership experience, inspirational leader with ability to partner, engage, and influence senior leadership and partners.
