Position: Senior National Account ManagerLocation: Central London (Zone 1) | Hybrid 3 days in the officePackage: £60,000-£70,000 +Bonus +BenefitsWe’re working exclusively on behalf of a fast-growing, VC-backed scale-up in the food industry, where health, wellness, and 100% natural, plant-based products are at the core of the business.The Role:As the Senior National Account Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager and be instrumental in scaling up the business across national accounts, including major retailers such as Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Ocado and, Holland & Barrett. You’ll take ownership of driving sales growth, building strategic relationships, and ensuring the brand’s mission resonates with both retail partners and consumers.This is the first commercial hire in an established business, offering the opportunity to achieve some quick wins in the short term. In the longer term, the company envisions this role evolving into a Head of Sales position, providing a clear path for career progression.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and meet sales targets across major UK retailers.
- Win new business with key retail accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for growth and risk mitigation.
- Negotiate terms, promotions, and joint business plans to ensure mutual profitability.
- Align sales strategies with brand missions alongside the marketing team.
- Provide insights on market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to inform strategy.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on sales, marketing, and supply chain initiatives.
- Mentor and support the wider team with your expertise and leadership.
About You:
- You have a strong passion for food, health, and wellness.
- A proven track record in FMCG account management.
- Experience managing UK retailers is essential.
- You possess excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build long-lasting relationships at all levels.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving sales growth and profitability.
- A strategic thinker with a talent for developing and executing comprehensive account plans.
- Data-driven and highly analytical.
