Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results:

  • Key contact to intermediaries and clients for defined experience rated book of business

  • Engage and build strong relationships with intermediaries and/or clients

  • Pro-actively manage and successfully negotiate profitable renewal retention of defined experience-rated and portfolio-rated book of business

  • Provide consistent and quality support to intermediaries and/or clients by answering queries and collaborating with internal stakeholders to promptly resolve service issues

  • Lead employee communication meetings (English) as required by intermediaries and clients.

  • Prepare and present customized claims analytics reports for large experience-rated clients

  • Organize and plan process trainings for key brokers as needed

  • Identify areas of process improvement and collaborate with respective stakeholder functions in executing changes

  • Manage ad-hoc assignments as required

  • Ability to foster collaboration, value perspectives of others and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposals

  • Liaise with internal departments, e.g., underwriting, claims teams, marketing, in line with established procedures to ensure optimum service deliveries to client

Developmental Value of Position:

  • Ability to work independently to achieve retention and financial targets set on assigned portfolio

  • Develop proactive strategy to anticipate client needs and objectives ahead of policy renewals

Experience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements:

  • University education required

  • English language competency

  • Great communication skills

  • 8 years of experience

  • Sales/Account Management experience in Group Health Insurance and in Insurer/Broker roles preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Influencing and negotiating

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills

  • Independent, self-motivated and responsible

  • Adept at meeting tight deadlines and managing priorities (working under pressure)

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
